A long overdue update

Wow, its been over a year since I last showed this little blog some love.  I'm not a blogger, not in the true sense, I only write about the things I make and as you can see, I've not been making much lately.  If you follow me on any social media you will know that the hand saga is still going on.  I had my hand operation on November 27th 2014.  I was meant to be a simple PRP injection (They took the fat for this from my stomach - wow did that hurt afterwards!) with about a weeks recovery time.   It turned out to be a bigger operation.  They did the PRP, but also did the De Quervains release and also removed a random extra skinny tendon I had (I've named him Fred).  I ended up staying in hospital for three days as my blood pressure and o2 were low.... I had brilliant care, but it wasn't what we had hoped for!  I ended up moving back to my Mums for two weeks and it took 5 weeks for me to begin to feel normal and return to work.

I'm still in pain but am having weekly physio with a brilliant and lovely lady.  There is a slight possibility that there is a nerve being strangled (!) in the scar tissue so this is currently being worked on with massage and exercises - everything crossed please for not having to have another operation!!!

I've not been able to do any making for a long time now, but I've slowly started making pom poms for a certain special day a very good friend is having shortly! (I'm also a bridesmaid! eep!)

Anyway, here are some random photos to try and make this post a bit more interesting!

Pompoms!!
