Yucky weather!!! Hands up who wants to be in their pjs with a hot coffee and a day full of sewing? Meeeeee!!!!
Reality? Not so much!
It's amazing the satisfaction I get from sewing and knitting.
I started knitting when I was about 7 in an after school club. I could never cast on or off. I'd always have to get my mum to do it. She did this patiently for me until I was way older than I should have been! She taught me many times and many times I forgot. I finally learnt making my first proper big blanket. It started as a mini project to keep me occupied whilst I was ill. It turned into a mammoth secret Christmas present for my sister. I had to keep it hidden for weeks. I finally finished it at 3am Christmas morning.
The look on her face when she opened it was amazing and totally made up for the lack of sleep. To this day she still uses it. Excitingly it's just moved to a new home up north (where it'll probably get more use in the cold!)
The said blanket in its old home: (new home pics coming soon!)
